Before CBS/Paramount Studio's decided to put a new face on Star Trek the Original Series one man had pitched it to them two different times and had done some work to show that it could be done without making changes to the script or making it look out of place, that man was Daren Ross. I found out that he worked on the Directors Cut of Star Trek: The Motion Picture as well. Just from looking threw his website I like him instantly.
