Supergirl on Smallville

For the seventh season of SMALLVILLE, Clark Kent will be joined by his cousin Supergirl.

Kara was sent to Earth in a ship that arrived at the same time as Clark's ship. Her father, Zor-El, wanted her to watch over her younger cousin. But she ended up in suspended animation for the last sixteen years. She will have all the superpowers Clark has but she will also have the ability to fly. In addition, she will become romantically interested in Jimmy Olsen

The CW reports the role has not been cast yet. Kara/Supergirl will join a list of DC characters that have already been featured on the show including The Flash, Green Arrow, and Aquaman.
