Virgin TV

Virgin Media is plowing ahead with their plan to launch Virgin 1, the newest entertainment channel headed for British airwaves. The media giant has promised to devote at least forty million pounds to the fledgeling network, but customers are reporting a "wait and see" attitude towards the channel.
So far, they've acquired broadcast rights for EVERY Star Trek television series (thats over 600 hours alone) and The Sarah Connor Chronicles; plus they've commissioned...a reality series featuring an experienced rock climber who drags a pack of lazy men out for a real adventure, and The Real Exorcist, which follows the Reverend Bob Larson as he attempts to exorcise real-life demons from American people. Network big-wigs are promising a good mix of both British and American produced shows, plus some unspecified "user generated content." In addition to this, they plan to offer an ad-funded website with streaming and downloadable videos, plus forum boards and other fan goodies.
The new channel will air for 12 hours a day on Freeview, replacing FTN, and 24 hours a day on cable.
