In an MTV interview, Star Trek XI writers denied all the fuss and rumor about shutting William Shatner out of the film. The gossip has been running rampant about this film, (and really, with no "official" information what else do you expect??) and recent rumors indicated that Shatner was miffed at being excluded, especially considering that Leonard Nimoy was scheduled to appear briefly in the film.
