Ben Silverman, the new co-chairman of NBC, revealed a new fall lineup to attendees of the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Monday. Part of that line-up includes a sci-fi genre night on Mondays.
Kicking things off will be their new spy drama, Chuck. The 8 pm drama follows a pack of computer nerds who are secret government techno-spies. Former BSG writer Anne Cofell Saunders helped write the pilot, which was directed by McG. The show had originally been scheduled to air on Tuesdays,... but was moved to fill in the Monday slot, and Tuesday's The Biggest Loser will expand to 90 minutes to fill the hole.
The second season of Heroes will follow at 9 pm, and the new season of the wildly popular show has fans chomping at the bit. The cast has been expanded, with a whole pack of new characters to add to the excitement with new faces and new abilities.
Wrapping things up at 10 pm is Journeyman, the show about a man who accidentally begins to travel through time. Kevin McKidd (Rome) stars as Dan Vassar, a man struggling to make sense of his new ability, which tends to strike at inopportune moments (such as when he's behind the wheel of a moving vehicle!) Meanwhile, his dead fiance is haunting him and his wife is trying to decide if he's crazy, taking drugs, or telling an unbelievable truth.
