SFX Magazine pubished in the UK polled more than 3,000 fans and Serenity came out as the Number One Sci-Fi Movie of All Time beating Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope)!
Star Wars, which served as a partial inspiration to Joss Whedon's Serenity (based on the cancelled Fox Series, Firefly), came in second in the survey.

SFX editor Dave Bradley said it was a "massive surprise" to see Serenity beating Star Wars.
