Helen Slatter in Smallville

original Supergirl, Helen Slater, will be appearing in the next season of SMALLVILLE. This comes a month after actress Laura Vandervoort has been cast as the new Supergirl in the show. Word is that Helen Slater will be playing Supergirl's aunt in the show so that could mean something even more surprising. That could point to Clark Kent's Krypton mother appearing as Helen Slater which would change the mythology a little more.
