Leonard Nimoy told Las Vegas convention-goers that shooting will get underway this December as he reprises his role of Spock in the upcoming Star Trek XI film. He called his role "more than a cameo . . . but not gigantic." Heroes' Zachary Quinto is signed on to play the younger version of Spock as seen in his academy days.
William Shatner was also at the convention, and he joked with Nimoy for appearing in the film without him. Major shooting for the film gets underway this November, and will continue through the early part of next year.
