SERENITY Sequel on the Horizon?

While box office sales for the 2005 SERENITY didn't perform according to expectations from the studio, the dvd sales and loyal following may have changed the minds of Universal Pictures, says star Alan Tudyk to Moviehole. In a phone conversation, he dropped a bombshell to Clint Morris at the site suggesting that the studio was very pleased with the sales of both the film and series dvd sets. They even had to crank out the new dvd when they ran out of the previous version. While the actor says this sequel is very possible on the near horizon, he'll likely be voicing Sonny again on I, ROBOT 2 first, a film also in pre-production, before any SERENITY 2.
