Stan Lee, one of the true fathers of the modern-day superhero, is set to be recognized with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lee created the blockbuster characters of Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, The X-Men, Fantastic Four, and many others...Some of the other inductees for 2008 include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Angela Bassett, Howie Mandel, Christina Aguilera, Brooks & Dunn, Cate Blanchett, The Munchkins, and Vince McMahon. The names were announced last Wednesday by Johnny Grant, the honorary mayor of Hollywood. Stars may be awarded to people involved with television, live theater, film, or the recording industry. Honorees are chosen by the Walk of Fame Committee, and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
